Thank you, mister ambassador!

This was the fourth year i was invited to ambassador Barry B. White and his wife´s 4th of July celebration. And this time I was in Norway and could go! It is celebrated with around 2000 people in Villa Otium in Frogner in Oslo every year. Time to take my friend Ingeborg out for a day with the celebs! I think she deserves that after finishing her masters degree just a few days ago :) Free wine and beer, national anthems and burgermania. And free Oreo cookies on every table, a little mac donald´s stand and ben and jerry´s icecream. Thats what I call a true american party!

Later that night I was live after a fire in a 7,3 km long tunnel near Oslo. 34 people was evacuated from the smoke and flames. My life is full of contrasts!

I woke up to a beautiful breakfast consisting of blueberries, raspberries, apples, yoghurt, smoothie, tea, marzipan and my all time favorite that Simon thinks smells like cat food (dont think he has even tried it) makrell i tomat. And beautiful roses in lots of colors.. AND an envelope with tickets to Biarritz in France! Rental car included :) Crazy! We are going suuuuurfing! And then - all around the apartment - lots of notes sticked to the mirror in the bathroom, a door handle and the kitchen table, wishing me an awesome day. How could it not be? :)
No wonder i had my birthday smile on :)

When i was sitting by myself trying to treat my sick throat with a cup of tea, a little girl came over to me and asked how old i was. I said "its my birthday today!" and it turned out her mother knew the lady that owned the bakery, and they came over with the best little chocolates! Anyone who works at NRK and knows what Kristine´s cakes taste like would know what i am talking about :) Here i am with my new little friend - she wanted me to call her Miu Miu. She is half vietnamese and half Moroccan. I said i had been in both countries and she loved me even more haha.. Her mum works at Oslo Plaza and said I can come there and get a hotel room 50 % off, and same with breakfast. Pretty good birthday presents from strangers I think!!

Here is a big birthday kiss for ya´ll!!! And thanks for making my birthday amazing from the minute i woke up to my aussie man :)

THE COLORS OF SPRING AT HVALER

Australia meets Norway, Herføl meets Harvey. Simon and I went to my summer place, where little Ida came her very first summer and has been every summer since. Isnt it beautiful? :) When the sun is shining, it is one of the best places I know. And Simon seemed to like it too:
